A JOURNEY THROUGH THE LIVING COSMOLOGY OF KEMET
The ancient landscape of Kemet is a living cosmology, a landscape that continues to speak through its rivers, temples, stars, stories and sacred forms.
The wisdom was never lost. It is remembered.
The Nile is not only a river, but a memory held within the body. Above us, the Milky Way flows as the celestial Nile across the body of Nut, the great Sky Mother. What flows through the heavens is reflected here on Earth, and what flows through the Earth is reflected within us.
THE SOMA OF KEMET is an invitation to enter this living landscape and remember the connection between heaven, earth, the human body, mind and spirit, guided by native Egyptians.
Soma is the nectar of life, the intelligence and essence that nourishes, awakens and renews. We imagine it as the dripping galactic milk of Nut, breathing the nectar of new creation into our being.
Between the celestial river above and the earthly Nile below, we find ourselves at the meeting place of heaven and earth.
We begin beneath the seed of the New Moon and journey towards the blossoming of the Full Moon, guided throughout by the ancient flower of the Blue lotus.
Rooted in the depths, rising through the waters and opening towards the light, the lotus becomes a living metaphor for our own journey of creation, remembrance and renewal as we drink her nectar from the source of the Nile, grown in its waters.
For twelve nights, we travel slowly through some of the most powerful landscapes of ancient Egypt.
We begin on a mythic island in Aswan, documented in ancient traditions as a place connected to the source of creation and the first gush of the Nile, beside the sacred grounds of Isis/Auset’s temple.
From there, we journey by Dahabiya along the river towards Luxor, Dendera, Abydos, Tel Amarna and Hermopolis before arriving in Cairo, Giza and Saqqara.
This is not simply a journey through ancient monuments.
It is a journey through a living cosmology and map.
Through movement, meditation, ritual, sound, imagination and relationship with the land itself, we explore ancient Egyptian understandings of creation, death, regeneration, divine intelligence and sacred relationship.
The temples and landscapes become mirrors through which we can listen more deeply to our own lives and our place within the greater web of existence.
And beneath all of this is a simple question:
WHY ARE WE HERE?
Who are we beneath the identities we have inherited?
What becomes possible when imagination is understood not simply as fantasy, but as one of the great forces through which reality itself is shaped especially when community comes together sharing a seed of a dream and steps into right action together.
From here, the journey opens into something larger than personal transformation.
At the heart of THE SOMA OF KEMET is the exploration of what kind of world we are here to create.
Can we remember ways of living rooted in beauty, reciprocity, prosperity, relationship with the land and water, community, creativity, ritual and conscious responsibility?
The stories of the Neteru place human existence within something far greater than the individual self. To know your place in the web of life unleashes boundless energy to create, and myths can help us know our destiny. Therefore the daily storytelling will be a key to unlocking the magic on this adventure.
We are not travelling into the past simply to recreate what has already been.
We are travelling into the past to recover seeds.
Seeds of imagination.
Seeds of beauty.
Seeds of relationship.
Seeds of knowledge that may help us imagine what comes next.
The quest is heaven on earth.
A new Earth.
A new way of being human.
A civilisation that remembers our participation in the living world and values the sacredness of life.
OUR JOURNEY
9 , 10 , 11 April · Aswan | The Awakening
We begin on a mythic island in the Nile, beside the Temple of Auset / Isis, visiting her sacred temple and the Temple of Montu.
Three nights to arrive at a community temple sanctuary and be nourished and nurtured.
A time to deeply root into the mysteries of matter and creation, to purify in the waters of the Nile and surrender into the embrace of Auset.
We rest into the soil and mud infused with pure gold as a place of sacred beginnings, the place of the seed and the womb sparked by life as light.
This opening passage asks us to consider why we are here, what we are longing to birth, and what we are here to contribute to this beautiful New Earth.
There will be generous space for practice, song, group connection and time alone.
12 , 13 , 14 April · Dahabiya | The River Journey
We board our dahabiya for three nights and let the Nile carry us north.
Along the way we visit Kom Ombo and Esna, moving slowly with the river and allowing its rhythm to become part of our practice.
Here we turn towards the hidden aspects of ourselves, meeting the darkness that holds power in disguise.
We listen to the stars, weaving with the astrological clues and ancient symbols that accompany our journey.
The river becomes our teacher of movement, surrender and flow.
The boat is a private sanctuary that allows us to commune and weave the group heart and soul field.
15 & 16 April · Luxor | The Temple Landscape
Two nights in Luxor, entering the great temple landscapes of Kemet.
We explore Karnak and walk the ancient Avenue of Sphinxes towards the Temple of Amun and a group journey to Dendera, the majestic temple of Het Heru / Hathor.
Between the temples there is spaciousness for practice, reflection, group connection and time alone.
Here we move from the mud towards the heart.
We meet courage, inner fire and the light within us that longs to burst forth as essence.
To truly blossom, we must first embrace death and surrender.
Amun and Mut invite us towards the inner throne, resting in stillness and space.
At Dendera, the skies open and the Soma begins to drip into body and soul
Sekhmet breathes the flame.
17 April · Abydos | Between Worlds
We journey to Abydos and stay at the House of Life.
A day to breathe with the mysteries of Ausar / Osiris, regeneration and the passage between worlds.
A day of deep contemplation, where death becomes a doorway into new beginnings.
After the movement of the river and temples, we allow ourselves to pause, digest and breathe between worlds as the hum of creation through the hum and sound of creation.
18 April · Hermopolis | The Word of Creation
At Hermopolis we enter the world of Tehuti/ Thoth , keeper of wisdom, language and sacred knowledge.
A passage into the mysteries of creation and the power of consciousness to give form through word and writing.
This day is dedicated to our thoughts, our words and what we choose to bring into form.
19 & 20 April · Cairo | The Blossoming
We arrive in Cairo for the final movement of our journey.
At night, we enter the Great Pyramid through a private experience as the Moon approaches fullness. This is the great symphony at the end of the journey, the moment the group heart and soul sings its prayer to the world
The following day, we visit Saqqara and gather for our special Lotus Closing Lunch at a Blue Lotus lodge.
Here the journey begins to blossom.
From the depths of the Blue Lotus, we rise towards Nefertum, the lotus emerging into the light, carrying the fragrance of creation into the world.
We prepare to re enter the world carrying our new light, our gifts and what we have remembered along the way.
21 April · The Full Moon | The Return
Our official circle closes beneath the Full Moon.
The seed has opened.
The lotus has blossomed.
The river continues to flow.
And so do we.
Those who wish may stay for an additional night, giving themselves a full, spacious day to rest, integrate and simply be before travelling home.
Welcome to THE SOMA OF KEMET.

Where will we stay
We have intentionally chosen accommodation that feels beautiful, authentic and connected to the places we are visiting.
Rather than creating an exclusively five star luxury journey, we have sought out hidden gems, family run places and intimate spaces that allow us to experience Egypt more personally, while still including moments of comfort and luxury.
As Jasmeen is Egyptian, she has been able to discover some special places that are not always listed online.
The journey includes private access to the Great Pyramid, special sacred sites and some beautiful splashes of luxury here and there, all with the intention of creating a journey that is both magical and more accessible.
Aswan
In Aswan we stay at Jasmeen’s home and at a Nubian village guest house that is not listed online.
For more information about this beautiful and intimate beginning to the journey, please reach out.
Dahabiya
Our dahabiya will be a beautiful luxury boat belonging to one of Jasmeen’s closest friends.
Being on board will be a real treat, allowing us to experience the Nile slowly, intimately and in comfort.
Luxor
In Luxor we stay at a beautiful hotel lodge with beautiful views and a dedicated group space where we can gather in privacy and stillness.
There will be comfortable rooms, spacious surroundings and a more deluxe experience after our days exploring the temples.
Abydos
In Abydos we intend to stay at the House of Life Hotel.
Hermopolis
[Accommodation details to be added.]
Cairo
In Cairo, we stay at a hotel with views towards all three pyramids and the Sphinx, without the feeling of being surrounded by the city.
A fresh, comfortable and intimate hotel with a direct connection to the sacred sites will be our final home for the journey.
Testimonial from Previous Nile Journeys...
"Even for a writer it is difficult to find the words to describe our journey. Still, I'll make an attempt. Jasmeen gets it. And I'm not just talking about the history, philosophy and magic of Egypt, but also about organizing retreats. The pilgrimage was well organized by her and her skilled team. Far away from home, you still feel at home. From that safe space I could enjoy and surrender myself to everything that came my way. The steps were big and my process deep. But whatever presents itself, Jasmeen has all the knowledge and tools to support you. She does this with love and in a pure, 'straight to the point' and 'no nonsense' way. Jasmeen cuts straight to the chase. In this way she helps you to grow and truly transform. She has many talents and telling stories is certainly one of them! I slumped like a little child, enjoying every word. She is a networker and a connector. Someone who gives everything! Dear Jasmeen, not only this pilgrimage, but you too are a gift! I am grateful to myself for booking this adventure. I would do it again without a doubt! And I am indescribably grateful to you for everything you have given me, such as knowledge and wisdom about myself and life. A good dose of self-confidence and memories that will stay with me not only in this, but hopefully also in the next life. Remember!
With love,Chantal Loverbos "
