The Winter Solstice is one of those moments.

Temple of New Beginnings is a seven-day immersive pilgrimage held in Aswan at a regenerative sanctuary and living temple community nestled on a sacred island.

 In the Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) tradition, the Winter Solstice marked the rebirth of light and the beginning of a new cycle of creation.

During the sacred days surrounding the Solstice (21–24 December), this turning point was honoured as a time for reflection, renewal, and the conscious planting of intention. As darkness gives way to light, we too are invited to release what has completed its journey and cultivate the qualities that will shape the life we are creating.

Day One: Arrival

Arrive on the island and settle into the rhythm of temple life.

Opening ceremony. Grounding. Meeting the community.

Day Two: Purification

Release the past through Kemetic Yoga, ritual, and the healing waters of the Nile.

Create space for what is waiting to emerge.

Day Three: Reflection

Harvest the wisdom, lessons, and blessings of the year that has been. Discover the gifts hidden within your journey.

Day Four: Returning to Maat

Realign with truth, balance, harmony, and your deepest values through Kemetic Yoga, meditation, and Ancient Egyptian teachings.

Reconnect with the principles that guide an authentic life.

Day Five: Vision

Clarify your intentions. Create your vision board.

Prepare your heart and mind for conscious creation.

Day Six: Sacred Seeding

Pilgrimage to the Ancient Unfinished Obelisk and two Temples of Auset.

Participate in the Ancient Egyptian Sacred Seeding Ritual, blessing your intentions and planting them into the fertile ground of a new cycle.

Day Seven: New Beginnings

Welcome the first light of the new cycle through sunrise ceremony, Blue Lotus celebration, blessings, and closing rituals as you step forward with renewed clarity, purpose, and devotion.

Ursula Macheke

Dr. Ursula Macheke van Graan (TDr) is the Founder and Director of the Kemetic Wisdom Institute – Rekh m Ab ("Know Thyself"), a registered Traditional Doctor (TDr) with the African Traditional Healers Association of South Africa (ATHA), a registered Kemetic Yoga Teacher (RYT), a certified 500-hour ISHTA Yoga Teacher, and a certified 300-hour Tantric Yoga Teacher.

For more than two decades, she has devoted her life to the study, practice, and preservation of indigenous wisdom traditions, consciousness studies, and spiritual initiation. Her journey has included initiatory work and learning within the indigenous medicine traditions of the Punu (Gabon), Q'ero, Shuar, and Conibo peoples, while remaining firmly rooted in her African lineage.

Her work is dedicated to preserving and transmitting living indigenous wisdom traditions while guiding spiritual seekers, healers, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven leaders to awaken their innate wisdom, embody their unique gifts, and walk a path of purpose, integrity, and service. 

Jasmeen Hana is the founder of BLISS School and visionary behind Per Auset, a regenerative sanctuary and living temple community dedicated to Ancient Egyptian wisdom, embodied spirituality, and ecological regeneration.

For more than two decades, she has explored the living mysteries of Ancient Egypt, weaving together Kemetic Yoga, mythology, somatic practice, meditation, and sacred ritual into deeply transformative experiences.

Her work invites people to remember that spirituality is not separate from everyday life - it is a way of walking upon the Earth with presence, beauty, and devotion.
